A great iPhone app for losing weight… Lose It!

By Skip

So one that that people are always asking me about is how I lost so much weight.  When I tell them I was just counting calories and I did it with my iPhone, everybody wants to know what app it was.

LoseIt! is probably one of the best FREE apps out there if you are looking to take off a few or QUITE A FEW pounds.  The secret to it’s success is to log in every single piece of food or drink that enters into your body.  It is a very easy to use program and the longer you use it, the more it will remember about your previous meals and such.

I lost close to 50 pounds with this app.  I introduced it to another friend of mine who lost over 30 pounds with it.  Honest…. it really works.

The people that I have seen NOT be successful with it are the ones that don’t enter in all the details or underestimate their calorie consumption OR overestimate their exercise which will screw up your whole daily count.

All I can tell you is use it on a consistent basis for a few months and be diligent about it.  You can even get your other friends and family involved.  If they all use the same program you can see each other’s status which is really, really good for keeping yourself motivated.

Another nice thing is that you can keep in synchronized with an online account so that you always have a backup of your information that you entered.  In a previous version of this software I ended up losing some data because my iPhone had crashed and there was no backup system in place.  That has changed in later versions.  Your free account can be setup by visiting the Esha Research website at http://www.Esha.com

Oh yes, did I mention that it was FREE!!!   For more information, CLICK HERE

So if you have read any of the blog thus far you know a little bit about me… I can not be told what to do and I push myself about as far as I can be pushed!

But how did I get here and why? Well, that is what this page is about.

I was never really the athletic type. Sure, I played tennis in high school (and quite well, mind you) but running CERTAINLY was never my thing!

The start of 2009 was big for me as I came to the realization that I had put on too much weight over the past 10 years (read more...)
