Already off the program?
So, today is not my scheduled running day but after yesterday’s personal accomplishment, I thought I should ride the wave and get back out there to see if I can log some more miles and build up my endurance.
Actually, my intentions originally were just to do some walking but once I got into it I could not resist to pick up the pace and get some running in.
I made up my own workout mixing walking and running and alternating back and forth.
Speaking of workouts, I wanted to tell you a little bit more about the Nike+ app. It has a tab called Workouts. When you click on it, it will display a list of pre-designed workouts that Nike has created and split into the following categories:
- Basic (open-ended workout)
- Time (a workout with a timed goal)
- Distance (a workout with a distance goal)
- Calorie (a workout with a calories burning goal)
When you click on an item, let’s say calorie, it will ask you how many calories you want to burn. It will then ask you what music you want to listen to (from your iPod playlist) and will keep you informed along the way of your progress. This is accomplished by a voice that will come on over the music (music faded down slightly for the announcement) that will keep you motivated and on track. Really a great feature of this app!
