Couch to 5K: Week 3, Day 2

Day two of week three…….

Here is the lineup:

  • 5 minute warmup
  • Do this twice:  jog 90 seconds, walk 90 seconds, jog 3 minutes, walk 3 minutes
  • 5 minute cooldown

It was finally warm enough to wear shorts today.  Broke out of that cold spell down here in South Florida for now.

I ran my butt off today and spend over an hour and running 6.13 miles.  With burning 758 calories today I can eat just about anything that I want to and I have no fear about going over my calorie count for the day!

I also noticed that I am picking up the pace a little bit.  Today’s “official” pace was 12’05”.  Keep in mind that this is an averaged pace based upon the running AND walking that I am doing.

It will be interesting to see the kind of numbers I can start producing once my endurance builds up a little bit and my pace picks up as well.  I have NO idea what to expect but I am excited to find out.

So if you have read any of the blog thus far you know a little bit about me… I can not be told what to do and I push myself about as far as I can be pushed!

I was never really the athletic type. Sure, I played tennis in high school (and quite well, mind you) but running CERTAINLY was never my thing!
