Couch to 5K: Week 5, Day 2

It has been a week and I think my knee feels good enough to try to continue my couch to 5k program.  I need to take it easy and stick as close to the program as possible.  Need to concentrate on HOW I run and what surface I am running on.

Here is what I am going to try to do today:

  • Five-minute warmup
  • Run for 8 minutes
  • Walk for 5 minutes
  • Run for 8 minutes
  • Five-minute cooldown

Pretty much DID keep to the program (yeah!) and my knee seemed to hold out.  Not 100% but certainly doable!

I am happy that I was able to get back on the program.. Given that it is week 5 I really didn’t want to mess things up by taking too much time off, especially due to injury.  I only had about a week off.  One of my friends on Facebook says he has the same problem and that his doctor said he will be out of commission for one month!

I really hope I am doing the right thing and not making it worse……

So if you have read any of the blog thus far you know a little bit about me… I can not be told what to do and I push myself about as far as I can be pushed!

I was never really the athletic type. Sure, I played tennis in high school (and quite well, mind you) but running CERTAINLY was never my thing!
