My Running Mojo

By Skip

It has been a few days since my last run.  My ankle is feeling about 95% and I NEED to get back out.  I am starting to lose my running “mojo.”

I am afraid that if I continue to have these injuries that I will lose my motivation all together.  My weight is consistent, which is good, but I am afraid that my endurance has dropped drastically.  Regardless of injury, I MUST get back out tomorrow morning!

Tomorrow will be the last day of week 8.  That means 1 more week to go after that.  I think I am going to keep running my 5Ks and build up on that.  Even if I have to do several of them during the day (one in the morning and one in the evening.)  That would also be a good test to see when I run better.  I have a feeling that after a day of work I will run slower in the evening, but I could be wrong on that.

So pending my ankle taking a turn for the worse today, expect a run entry tomorrow!  Wish me luck!

About

So if you have read any of the blog thus far you know a little bit about me… I can not be told what to do and I push myself about as far as I can be pushed!

But how did I get here and why? Well, that is what this page is about.

I was never really the athletic type. Sure, I played tennis in high school (and quite well, mind you) but running CERTAINLY was never my thing!

The start of 2009 was big for me as I came to the realization that I had put on too much weight over the past 10 years (read more...)
